Darrell has found more than 400 ancestors going back at least 16 (and
possibly 18*) generations. All of his paternal ancestors were from Great
Britain or Ireland. All of his maternal ancestors were from what is now
Germany. His earliest known English ancestor dates from about 1430 and
others may* have been born as far back as 1397. His earliest known
German ancestor was born about 1557.
[*NOTE: Most of the early maternal ancestral lines from Great Britain, and even a few maternal lines in America, were found in Ancestral Files
recorded with the Genealogical Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of the
Latter-Day Saints. The accuracy of many of these files is questionable. In
some cases, the same person is linked to two or even three different sets of
parents. I have not independently verified these records and do not vouch for
their accuracy. On the other hand, I am quite certain about the accuracy of my
sources for the Peck line (including their wives), all of the German lines,
and for most of the maternal lines connecting to the Peck line in America.]
The ancestry report uses 'Ahnentafel' numbering. This means that the numbers for a person's parents will be twice as large as that person's number. For example, if a woman's number is 15, her father will be number 30, and her mother will be 31. Her child will be number 7.
